Commercial use?

  May I use the applets without paying?
The demo version of the applets may be used at non-commercial sites as long as they use the "Powered by Entanke" logo.
 
    Is my site commercial?
The idea is simple - if someone gets paid for creating or maintaining the site it is considered to be a commercial one.
 
    Can I get a reduced price on the applets as my site is non-commercial / non-profit?
No, I am afraid not. There are only two options: Full price for the version without the intro text, and and for free for non-commercial use with the intro text.
 

Buy only one applet?

   It is possible to buy only one applet?
No. We only sell the applets as a collection. Remember that if you buy the collection, you will get free updates and support via e-mail.
 
    What do I get when I buy the applets?
You will get a registration code that gives you access to a web page where you can generate the keys to unlock the applets. You will also get free updates and support via e-mail.
 

Payment options?

   Can I pay for the applets without using credit cards online?
Yes, contact ShareIt that handles the money transfer for us and they will help you. Please note that credit card is very safe to use and that other payment options may take some days or weeks (ShareIt will give you the details)
 

Multiple license?

   What is the deal about buying multiple license?
If you have bought one license you have the rights to use the applets on one domain. But if you have bought several licenses you may use the applets on more domains than you have licenses according to a table. For example, if you own two licenses you may use the applets on three different domains.
 

Domain names?

   My page have two different domain (host) names. Do I have to buy two licenses then?
No. If two domain names is used for exactly the same physical information they are counted as only one domain. For example, if both www.ball.com and www.sphere.com would go to the same page at the same server, only one license is needed. Mirrors on different servers need to have multiple licenses.
 

The applet lock

   What is the registered version like?
If you unlock the applets with the registration key, the 4 second delay when the applets start will disappear. The applets at http://www.entanke.se/ are registered.
 

 

   How does the applet lock works?
The applet looks at the domain name in the URL window of the browser, and calculates a checksum that is compared with the NumericalKey parameter. If it is a match, the applet will behave as the registered version. So the key is unique for each domain. The applet key will only work with version 2.0 (and later versions) of ET Applet Collection.
 

Bespoke work?

   How much do you charge for bespoke work?
We currently don't make any custom applets. However, we encourage you to write to us and describe the applet that you need. If it is a good and a general idea we might make one and include it in the collection.
